Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha are rumoured to be getting married in October. Ahead of their alleged wedding, they were seen together at an IPL match.

While Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha are keeping their lips sealed about their rumoured relationship, the two were once again spotted together. They were seen at the Punjab Kings Vs Mumbai Indians IPL match in Mohali. Their picture from the stadium has surfaced online. The rumoured lovebirds were seen concentrating on the game. Not only that but they also twinned in black outfits. While the politician sported a black shirt, the Hasee Toh Phasee actor wore a black top for the match.

Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha reportedly had their roka last month. On Tuesday, Parineeti was snapped by paparazzi in Mumbai. She kept mum when photographers kept asking her “Shaadi kab hai (when is the wedding)?”

Reportedly, Parineeti and Raghav are expected to get married in October 2023. A report of India Today quoted a source saying, “Parineeti and Raghav's roka is done. It was a family affair and they both are very happy. The duo is likely to get married by October-end of this year. Parineeti and Raghav are in no rush and they both have work commitments that they need to take care of before getting into the wedding festivities.”

The same report also claimed that Parineeti's cousin, actor Priyanka Chopra will be in India just around the same time of Parineeti's wedding. It is believed that she will be back in Mumbai for the Jio MAMI Film Festival, which will be taking place from October 27 to November 5. Priyanka is the chairperson of this film festival.

Parineeti and Raghav have been spotted together out and about many times. They have not confirmed or denied the dating rumours but blushed many times when asked about it by the media. Parineeti was also snapped visiting designer Manish Malhotra at his home which further fueled the wedding rumours as Manish is the go-to designer for Bollywood brides. He last designed the bridal trousseau of Kiara Advani.

Parineeti was last seen in Sooraj Barjatya's Uunchai. She has films like Chamkila and Capsule Gill lined up in the pipeline. Raghav, on the other hand, is the Aam Aadmi Party leader.

Barat in JCB! Youth from Odisha’s Boudh proceeds for marriage in JCB, watch

 Boudh: Though it seems a little bit awkward, a youth from Boudh district of Odisha was recently seen proceeding to the bride’s house on a JCB vehicle in a procession. The incident was reported from Bhaliaguda village under Chhatrang Gram Panchayat in Boudh district. The procession went to Nayagarh district.

The marriage procession of Gangadhar Behera was made with all the pomp and show. There were locals bands to play music, the marriage vehicle was decked up with flowers as well as colourful papers and clothes, friends and relatives were dancing to the tune of popular numbers and many more things.

Yet, the only unusual thing in the barat was the marriage vehicle. The groom had aboard a JCB vehicle. People normally make their wedding procession in a luxurious car or sometimes in a horse driven carriage. Even on certain occasion, the bridegroom rides a mare during the marriage procession. Yet, this groom wanted to make his barat in a JCB. If reports are to be believed, the groom’s elder brother is a JCB driver, and thus he proceeded on a JCB as a token of respect for his brother.

On another occasion last year a groom in Himachal Pradesh reportedly took a ride in a JCB to reach his wedding venue. The procession became tougher as heavy snowfall caused hindrance while he was on his way to the bride’s house.

In another instance, last year, a newlywed couple from Pakistan left a fancy car ride on their wedding day and opted to reach the venue on a JCB. The video had gone viral.

Late-night chaos at Jantar Mantar as protesting wrestlers claim police manhandled them

 

There was chaos at Jantar Mantar late in the night on Wednesday as India’s top wrestlers alleged that police had manhandled and abused them. The latest confrontation seemed to have started when the wrestlers tried to bring beds to the protest site.

The argument with the police reduced Rio Olympics bronze medallist Sakshi Malik to tears while Vinesh Phogat was seen arguing with the officials in a video that surfaced from the location.

Vinesh alleged that a drunk policeman had assaulted her brother. She claimed that another police officer had shoved her and Sangeeta Phogat.

“Since it rained today, the streets are wet. That’s why we were trying to get a bed to the protest site. They’re abusing us. This is how they respect daughters,” Tokyo Olympics medallist Bajrang Punia told journalists.

Delhi police officials, however, said the police official was not drunk and that no protester was beaten.

A senior police officer said, “There were a few men who tried bringing cots to the protest site. When policemen asked them about it, they got aggressive and the protesters joined them. They wrongfully restrained a policeman and accused him of being drunk. This is not true. Other officers are at the site and the situation is now under control. No protester was beaten up.”

AAP minister Saurabh Bharadwaj, meanwhile, tagged L-G VK Saxena in a tweet, asking him to take note of a purported video of an argument between the protesters and the police.

“Please note Lt Governor Delhi. A Delhi Police officer attacked a wrestler at Jantar Mantar. It is alleged that the policeman was drunk. A medical test should be conducted and MLC of the victim should also be registered,” he tweeted also tagging the Delhi Police Commissioner in the tweet.

Meanwhile, AAP MLA Somnath Bharti alleged he has been detained by the Delhi police for demanding foldable cots for the wrestlers at Jantar Mantar.

DCP New Delhi Pranav Tayal said, ” During the protest at Jantar Mantar, Mr. Somnath Bharti came to the protest site along with folding beds without permission. On intervention, the supporters became aggressive and tried to get the beds out of the truck. Subsequently, a minor altercation took place in which Mr Somnath Bharti along with 2 others were detained.”
